IEEE 1559 Provides Common Language for Aerospace Inertial Systems

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association (IEEE-SA) approved IEEE 1559 - Standard for Inertial Systems Terminology.
This aerospace standard provides a common language and presents terms and definitions related to aided and unaided inertial systems for navigation, guidance, orientation, stabilization and related applications, which are accomplished within the context of the inertial systems community.
The standard was sponsored by the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society.
