General Dynamics, Trusted Computing Group to Develop Security for Military, Government Computers
May 12, 2006
General Dynamics C4 Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, joined the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) to develop secure computing technology for personal computers operating on military and government networks.
General Dynamics will support the development of information assurance technologies that will, among other functions, verify that a warfighter's laptop has not been tampered with before accessing military networks, files and resources.
"The open standards developed by TCG will provide both high grade security and access to commercial computing platforms, operating systems and applications," said John Cole, vice president of Information Assurance at General Dynamics C4 Systems.
"General Dynamics' information assurance technologies will be securing future systems based on the open architecture standards developed by TCG for trusted network and enterprise environments."
