ARINC Unveils Multi-Level Airport IT Support Service Offering

May 4, 2006

ARINC Managed Services (AMS) announced a multi-level service offering designed to support airport information technology (IT) systems. Specifically, AMS unveiled service-level contracts that cover IT services for airports, including integrated systems support, operations, maintenance support and technical staffing.

IT systems require ongoing integration, but supervising multiple vendors means multiple service agreements, as well as varying terms, conditions, costs, response times and quality of service, AMS said. The company’s solution offers integrated maintenance for integrated systems.

Unlike traditional offerings, the AMS model is tied to a single configuration management database, which includes asset management, trouble ticketing, pro-active service level and management escalation, as well as dynamic trend reporting. The end-to-end maintenance and operational supervision solution also is designed to meet the technical and operational personnel staffing needs of individual airports.

The company will provide maintenance support and integration for all vendors' IT systems, even if ARINC technology is not used.

Several major airports already signed contracts for the AMS integrated service offering, including Vancouver International in Washington and Dallas Forth Worth International in Texas.
