IATA Heralds SESAR Ratification

December 20, 2005

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) called the ratification of the Single European Sky Implementation Programme (SESAR) a move toward making European skies more efficient.

The air transport sector considers SESAR, formerly known as SESAME, an efficient way to garner support for the operational implementation of the Single European Sky legislation, IATA said.

The association ratified the program along with 28 other Air Traffic Alliance consortium partners, including airspace users, airports, air navigation services providers and supply industries.
