Scope:
This order establishes procedures for accomplishing original
and recurrent airworthiness certification of aircraft and related products.
The procedures contained in this order apply to Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) manufacturing aviation safety inspectors (ASI), to FAA
airworthiness ASIs, and to private persons or organizations delegated
authority to issue airworthiness certificates and related approvals.
