Scope:

This specification establishes the requirements for a complete VHF Omnirange Test (VOT) facility which transmits test signals that are used to provide accurate azimuth reference indication for aircraft VHF Omnirange (VOR) receivers. The facility is also capable of transmitting an amplitude modulated voice signal simultaneously with the test signals. The VOT facility consists of a transmitter, antenna, monitor, and a remote status indicator.
