Scope:
This instruction applies to Program Executive Officers, Program
Managers, In-Service Support Centers/ Integrated Product Teams, and
all NAVAIR activities procuring a TDP in accordance with reference
(a), or are delegated basic design engineering cognizance for
developing and/or acquiring NAVAIR weapons systems and equipment.
The program or activity shall procure new and revised drawings and
associated lists for TOPs sufficient to support their program life
cycle requirements.
Purpose. This instruction defines the engineering drawing
numbering program for identifying engineering drawings and
associated lists in Technical Data Packages (TDPs), prepared by or
for t.he Naval Aviat.ion Programs per reference (a). Engineering
Drawings and associat.ed list.s are components of a TDP, which is a
subset. of Product Data.
