Title
Steel, Corrosion Resistant, Sheet and Strip 17Cr - 7.1Ni - 1.1Al Solution Heat Treated and Cold Rolled, Precipitation Hardenable 0.0015 to 0.050 Inch (0.038 to 1.27 mm) Nominal Thickness

Publication Date:

Scope:
Form:
This specification covers a corrosion-resistant steel in the form of
sheet and strip 0.0015 to
0.050 inch (0.038 to 1.27 mm) in nominal thickness.
Application:
These products have been used typically for parts such as springs
requiring corrosion resistance
and high strength up to 600 °F (316 °C), but usage is not
limited to such applications.
Strength of these cold-worked products will be impaired if parts are
welded during fabrication.
Certain design and processing procedures may cause these products to
become susceptible to
stress-corrosion cracking; ARP1110 recommends practices to minimize
such conditions.
