Scope:
The Tester, Noise, X-Band, hereinafter referred to as the "Noise Tester," consists of microwave and electronic components necessary to provide a pass/fail indication of the FM Sideband Noise Power over the range of 600 Hz to 2 MHz from the carrier of a CW RF source operating anywhere in the frequency range from 9140 to 9250 Megahertz and having a power output of +10 dBm to +20 dBm maximum at the input port (RF IN) of the Noise Tester. The Noise Tester is a Type I, Class 3, Style E, Color W, configuration as referenced in MIL-T-28800. This specification establishes the performance and test requirements for the Noise Tester, 11822700 (see 6.1).
