Scope:
This specification covers a high quality, round, colddrawn steel
music spring quality wire, uniform in mechanical properties,
intended especially for the manufacture of springs subject to high
stresses or requiring good fatigue properties.
The values stated in either SI (metric) units or inch-pound
units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated
in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system
must be used independently of the other.
