Scope:
This International Standard specifies mandatory and optional markings
of general purpose industrial
valves and states the manner of applying the markings, i.e. on the
body, on a flange, or on an
identification plate. Markings on the body may be integral with the
body or on a plate securely
fixed to the body. The material of this plate, which is distinct from
the identification plate
mentioned above, and the method of fixing to the body will be
specified in the International
Standard for the individual type of valve.
