Scope:
This Commercial Item Description (CID) describes an air transportable (AST) utilizing a commercial diesel engine driven, automatic transmission, cab and chassis, with a elevating van body capable of servicing a C-5 aircraft. The (AST) shall transport a three ton payload, and shall be capable of elevating, and transferring the payload a minimum of 27 feet above ground level.
