Scope:
This commercial item description covers the general requirements for a hydrant truck used for fuel servicing military and commercial aircraft on Government installations. The vehicle shall be capable of servicing aircraft from a Type III Hydrant System utilizing ground discharge hoses at a rate of 750 GPM or lift platform hoses when equipped, at fueling rates of 1,000 gallons per minute and when equipped, defuel at rates of 300 gallons per minute. The truck shall be air transportable in type C-130, C-17, and C-5 aircraft.
