Scope:

Purpose.

To issue qualification requirements and assignment policies for personnel ordered to duty in connection with supervision, operation, and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion plants. This instruction reaffirms previously published personnel aspects of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, and states policies and practices of the Chief of Naval Personnel (CHNAVPERS) and Navy Personnel Command (NAVPERSCOM).
