Scope:
Purpose
This specification provides a standard for the manufacture,
performance, reliability, inspection and procurement of a series of
rectangular table profile and contour milling machines having two,
three, four and five axes of Numerically Controlled motion. This
standard lists minimum requirements and is not intended to limit
design advances.
Classification
The machines shall be of the following type, size and class as
specified by the procuring agency.

Horizontal or Vertical; Single or Multiple Spindle.

A - Small
B - Medium
C - Large
D - Extra Large

I - Aluminum and steel milling machine (less than 230 KSI)
