Scope:

PURPOSE.

This order specifies the manner by which safety oversight will be conducted by the Air Traffic Safety Oversight Service (AOV), within the Office of the Associate Administrator for Regulation and Certification (AVR), on the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), and other organizations within FAA regarding safety management of the air traffic system.
