Scope:
Purpose.
Establish procedures and assign responsibilities within the
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for certification of Aircraft
Carrier/Aircraft Carrier (nuclear propulsion) (CV/CVN) and Shore
Station Training Facility Precision Approach and Landing Systems
(PALS).
Publish PALS certification/verification responsibilities for
Program Executive Officer, Aircraft Carriers (PEO Carriers), Space
and Naval Warfare Systems Command, NAVAIR, Type Commanders (TYCOMs)
and Ship's Commanding Officer.
Publish responsibilities for the NAVAIR certification teams as
established by references (a) and (b) .
