DOD DIRECTIVES

The Department of Defense Directives Service allows you to view both active and cancelled or superseded full-text directives on your personal computer. These directives are referenced when public laws, executive orders, OMB circulars, Department of Defense administrative, logistics, organizational, or other policies or procedures are to be implemented or reviewed.

The service simplifies the collection, storage and updating associated with U.S. Department of Defense compliance. The comprehensive database and flexible search capabilities quickly turn novice researchers into experts. You can review basic document content prior to going to the document itself. This ability can translate into tremendous time and dollar savings.

The system allows you to:

  • Locate documents by document number, keywords or phrase
  • Automatically identify documents referenced in or applicable to a directive or instruction.
  • All documents viewable in PDF format with the Adobe Acrobat Reader

DODD Collections:

Online Access - Subscribers get secure online access to search, view, bookmark, track, and print documents according to the license agreement. Online documents are updated daily. Multiple users can share a single license. You also get access to IHS Standards bibliographic data – more than 1 Million documents.

Individual Documents - IHS sell individual documents through the IHS Store in electronic or hard copy formats. Statistics show that 1 out of every 5 people who purchase individual documents would benefit from an online subscription.  You should consider a collection over individual document purchases if your company buys more than $3,000 in standards per year.
