This collection contains Industry Standards that have been adopted by the Department of Defense in lieu of writing their own or as replacements for former Mil Specs. The standards come from more than 20 organizations including ACI, American Concrete Institute; AGMA, American Gear Manufacturers Association; AIA/NAS Aerospace Industries Association (NAS); ANSI, American National Standards Institute; API, American Petroleum Institute; ARI, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute ASME, American Society of Mechanical Engineers; ASTM, American Society for Testing and Materials; AWS, American Welding Society; AWWA, American Water Works Association; CGA, Compressed Gas Association; EIA, Electronic Industries Association; IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers; IPC, Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits; MSS, Manufacturers Standardization Society of the Valve and Fittings Industry; NEMA, National Electrical Manufacturers Association; NFPA, National Fire Protection Association; SAE, Society of Automotive Engineers; and UL, Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
