Army Pamphlets and Regulations Help Understand Daily Life and Structure in the Military
The Department of Army publishes information covering topics ranging from logistics policies to memorial programs and the military working dog program to chaplain training. Army pamphlets and regulations provide details and guidance essential to successfully working in and with Army personnel and organizations.
Like other standards development organizations, the Army publications provide the means to assure that information is disseminated and consistently available to answer questions and assure the smooth operation of a wide variety of situations. The two collections of Army documents available from IHS also include the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DoDISS) Plus Outlines index.
The database contains detailed information on over 100,000 active and 250,000 historical unclassified U.S. Military and Federal standardization documents and related publications. This service does not include document images. The detailed index information has been extracted from the documents themselves, the DoDISS, SD1 Standardization Directory, Acquisition Management Systems and Data Requirements Control List (AMSDL), and the ASSIST database.

IHS provides online access as a subscription for each collection that also includes access to IHS Standards bibliographic data – more than 1 Million documents. Individual document may also be purchased from either Army list of publications.
